More than crafting. It's connection.
Knimblo was born in a real craft room — surrounded by scattered supplies, forgotten ideas, and the constant wish to just make something without spending an hour searching first.
This is the story of how one maker's frustration became a tool for every maker who deserves more time creating and less time organizing.
The real reason Knimblo exists
I used to spend the first twenty minutes of every craft session not creating — just searching. Looking for that one color of thread I was sure I bought. Digging through bins to find the buttons I'd set aside for a specific project. Opening three different drawers hoping the right yarn would appear.
And when I finally found what I needed? Half the time I'd already bought it twice before because I'd forgotten I owned it. My craft room had become a black hole for supplies and ideas.
It wasn't just the supplies. It was the ideas, too. I had notebooks, sticky notes, saved pins, and half-remembered sparks of inspiration scattered everywhere. And somewhere in that chaos, a dozen projects I genuinely wanted to finish were quietly collecting dust — started, stalled, and forgotten.
I didn't want to track inventory. I didn't want to manage a system. I just wanted to make things — and feel good about it at the end of the day.
That's why I built Knimblo. Not for organization's sake. For creativity's sake.
"I didn't want another app. I wanted more time to create."

I built the tool I wished existed
Hi — I'm a maker at heart. Crocheter, DIY enthusiast, someone who can't walk past a craft store without getting at least three new ideas. My home has always been full of creativity — and, honestly, a little chaos.
After years of lost projects, duplicate supply purchases, and brilliant ideas that evaporated before I could write them down, I started building a small tool just for myself. It started simple — a way to track what I had and what I wanted to make.
But the more I built, the more I realized every maker I knew had the same problems. So I kept going. I turned a personal tool into something I could share — and Knimblo was born.
It's still built with the same love and intention as that first version. Just a lot more features now.
Crafting gave me back a piece of me. My hope is that Knimblo does the same for you.
Why makers stay
Once you've experienced a craft session that starts with clarity instead of chaos, it's hard to go back.
Your Craft Room Has a Memory
Every shelf, bin, drawer, and storage spot is mapped out in Knimblo. You'll always know exactly where that ribbon, button, or yarn skein lives — even if it's been months since you used it.
Your Ideas Don't Get Lost
That fleeting idea at midnight? The project you saw and thought 'I want to make that'? Knimblo captures those sparks so when you finally have time to create, your inspiration is right where you left it.
Your Creativity Has Room to Grow
When you're not buried under mental clutter — wondering what you have, what you need, or what you were going to make — your imagination finally has space to roam freely.
Thank you for being part of the story.
Every maker who trusts Knimblo with their craft room, their ideas, and their creative journey is part of what keeps this going. You're not just a user — you're the reason Knimblo exists.
Whether you're just starting out or you've been making things your whole life, I hope Knimblo gives you a little more time to do what you love. That's always been the goal.
